Na província do Kwanza-norte, em Angola, populares das aldeias locais encontram-se numa situacao dificil. A falta de chuva esta a provocar fome e desespero. Mas, o facto curioso 'e que esta situacao nao esta afectar apenas as pessoas. Nos ultimos dias, uma manada de elefantes invadiu mais de 75 lavras de 150 familias camponesas, deixando um rastro de devastacao de culturas de milho, mandioca e outros produtos agrícolas, e piorando ainda mais a carencia alimentar que ja se vivia. Eles clamam por ajuda, pois ja experimentaram todas as medidas tradicionais para afastar os elefantes, mas sem sucesso. As autoridades locais, estão impotentes e sem capacidade técnica para lidar com o problema. INCLUSIVE AVENTA-SE A HIPÓTESE DE ABATER OS ANIMAIS!
